Being a Korean cosmetics wholesale supplier, we ship all our goods from Korea including The Ordinary and we purchase The Ordinary products from DEICEM official distributor in South Korea.

Recently, there are few changes in packaging & country of origin announced by DECIEM distributor in Korea. All information below is provided by DECIEM official distributor in South Korea. 

 

1. Change in Packaging

Some of the products which will be imported into Korea for distribution will have changes in their packaging. Only one side of the box will be changed to the Korean language as shown in the image below.

 

The Ordinary Change in Packaging

 

The product on the left in the above two pictures is the old version sold so far while the product on the right is the new version that will be sold in Korea now onwards. There is only one side translated into the Korean language while there are no other changes whatsoever. 


Following products will have a change in their packaging:

  1. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (30ml)  -  [Packaging changed]
  2. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA  -  [Packaging changed]
  3. Buffet (30ml)  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  4. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (30ml)  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  5. 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  6. Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  7. Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  8. Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate 10%  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  9. High-Adherence Silicone Primer  -  [Packaging change in progress]
  10. Natural moisturizing factors + HA (100ml)  -  [Packaging change in progress]


Once the new packaging is done, you won't be able to receive the old version anymore. Please take note of this. 

 

2. Country of origin 

All products are owned by DECIEM but for some products, the raw material is imported from another country. All imported raw material is 100% packed into containers in Canada plant by DECIEM. As the material is imported from another country and just bottling is done in Canada and hence DECIEM has decided to indicate this clearly on their packaging. So, in the future, some products will have mentioned clearly where the raw material was made [Made in where] / Bottled in Canda. The consumer does not need to be worried about this change as we believe DECIEM is trying to be very transparent about their product's ingredients and hence they decided to come up with such change in packaging/labeling.

2. 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil: Made in Morocco / Bottled in Canada 
3. 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil: Made in Bulgaria / Bottled in Canada 
4. 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Borage Seed Oil: Made in China / Bottled in Canada 
5. 100% Organic Virgin Chia Seed Oil: Made in Peru / Bottled in Canada 
6. 100% Organic Virgin Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil: Made in China / Bottled in Canada 
7. 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder: Made in China / Bottled in Canada 
8. 100% Plant-Derived Squalane: Made in USA / Bottled in Canada 
9. 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane: Made in USA / Bottled in Canada 
10. Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone: Made in USA / Bottled in Canada

In the future if you receive products with above changes, please do not be suprised and do not count them as fake. Kidnly read this information carefully before placing an order and also explain your end-customers carefully and in detail to avoid any misunderstandings and doubts.
